Halloweener!

Here it is, finally, Halloween time! I'm sure you have assumed, given the image posted here, that Perfect Wife and I have some awesome Halloween plans and costumes to present,  but sadly, no. We will be keeping it "low-key" this  year. No  costumes. No parties to attend. Nothing.

We will be handing out goodies to any Trick or Treaters that wander by, and watching the various "Hallow-centric" films we've managed to acquire. We won't though, have any big Halloween doings at Casa del Blanco, this year. Maybe next year.

That goes for this blog, too. No really fabulous observations on the holiday this year. For my previous musings on the season, you can always go to the archives on the sidebar for plenty o' my thoughts.

I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday. Happy Halloween to you and yours!

And yes, I really wanna see Perfect Wifey in a Harley Quinn outfit too!

"I Married A Monster From Outer Space"

the original 1953 "Invaders from Mars"

the original Bela Lugosi "Dracula"

and one of my guilty pleasures...
"King Kong vs Godzilla"

well, even though it will be just the two of you, y'all can still have halloween fun together.

apple bobbing, pin the tail on the donkey, clothespins in the milk bottle, and pumpkin carving contests can still be fun with only two people.

David- "King Kong vs. Godzilla" is not a pleasure you should feel guilty about! Back in the day, I would eagerly await an airing on it on "Dialing for Dollars". It does, however, feature the worst giant gorilla costume ever seen in motion pictures. Even as a lad, I felt I could make a better costume myself. Maybe that's why I liked the film so much- a vague feeling of superiority.

eeteed- Not sure what that "clothespins in the milk bottle" game is. Is that a regional thing?

ah, um... when i was a kid a we would play a game at parties where you simply put an empty milk bottle on the floor, stand beside it and try to drop clothespins (the wooden type w/o springs) into it.

eeteed- Good luck finding a milk bottle or a clothespin in this day and age!

We'll just play Jenga™.
